this is 12th year,my father passed away in sept.97 .my mother decided to go for papa's TARPAN this year at allahabad.
we i.e. myself.wife alka and mom ,set the dates to perform tarpan on 6th at allahabad.
we started from jamnagar on 3.9.9. by porbander-hawra express at 9 am. it was overnight journey to bilaspur where my mom joined us .my younger brother harish came with his wife rajni, to drop her at bilapur.
at bilaspur we boarded durg-chapra exp at 10.30 pm next morning at 11 am we reached allahabad. we went to our friend dr.dilip shinde ,there both husband &wife made very cosy arrangement for us,also made arrangent for next day's pind dan & tarpan puja.
we were little scared of what we had herd of such function performed by PANDAS at sangam and mental harrashment ,suffered by people.
but to our surprise this was exactly opposite .sh.GUDDU, name of the panda,who helped us in performing the pooja,was extra ordinary person,he took evry care to make us comfortable at the site. the expenses were also YATHA YOGYA. we started the puja at 8 am and after brahmanbhojan (not compulsary) we finished it at 11.30 am. we had train at 3.30 sarnath exp. to bilaspur .next day morning at 4 am we reached bilaspur .mom boarded gevra train for home. we caught another train at 12pm for ahmadabad,&then to jamnagar.
journey started on 3.9.9 and ended on 8.9.9.
